DOORS

“… knock, and it shall be opened unto you”, Matthew 7:7

When God slammed shut the lastest of the wounds,
which you forgot to close
when you left, He said:
Knock, and I’ll open unto you.

I knocked and knocked…

A knife was clenching both my fists.
The doors swung open one after another,
but behind each one I found only myself,
with a knife stuck in my back.
